The 6th Iwaki Prefecture Art Festival 

This poster was created by Koichi Sato for the 6th Iwaki Prefecture Art Festival, which took place in 1977. Sato is greatly recognized for his thoughtful approach to graphic design. In this poster, he uses subtle color gradients and small, carefully arranged forms to suggest the natural identity of Iwaki.

Koichi Sato (1944–2016), a Japanese graphic designer, after graduating from Tokyo University of the Arts, he worked as an art director before founding his own design studio, where he produced a variety of posters and exhibition materials. His designs are celebrated for it's thoughtful incorporation of cultural symbolism. Throughout his career, his work demonstrated a commitment to exploring the relationship between form, color, and meaning, leaving a lasting impact on the development of modern Japanese visual culture.
